Frequently Asked Questions
What makes ELUMC special?
ELUMC provides a spiritual worship service and a strong youth program that makes us hospitable to all people both young and old.
What will the service be like?
We try to make every service different providing unique and interesting sermons along with a children's message.
How long are services?
Services generally last an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor?
No. Our greeters and ushers will welcome you and are trained to help you feel comfortable. We will ask that everyone sign an attendance booklet so that we can let you know how glad we are that you decided to join us and so others in your row might learn your name.
Where do my children go during the service?
Children through 5th grade will leave the service after the children's message. Children from 6th grade to 12th grade have church school before worship and remain for the service.
How do I know that my children will be safe at ELUMC?
Since 1997, ELUMC has been especially committed to providing a safe and supervised environment for all, wherever our ministries take place. To achieve this goal, the church has implemented and follows a Safe Sanctuaries Program.
Where are you located?
ELUMC is located at 215 Somers Road (Route 83) in East Longmeadow at the corner with Chestnut Street. From the rotary at the center of town, we are just short of a mile south on Route 83 toward Somers.
