The East Longmeadow United Methodist Youth seek to create a faith-based community for young people in grades 6-8 in a safe environment, learn about God's call for us as Christians, and participate in missions to help those in need.
The ELUMY share enthusiasm in:
E - Exploring Truth (Hebrews 4:12*),
Exemplifying Compassion (Matthew 25:45*),
Expressing Faith (Romans 12:2*), and
Experiencing Acceptance (Romans 12:4-6*)
L - Learning to Listen to God's Call
U - Understanding How to Bring Christ's Message to the World
M - Making Memories through Missions
Y - You can join us Sunday Evenings from 6-8 PM
Please see the Church Calendar for Meeting Times and Events!
* Hebrews 4:12 ~ For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
* Matthew 25:45 ~ He will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do to me."
* Romans 12:2 ~ Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve that God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
* Romans 12:4-6 ~ Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.
